PLEASE NOTE THAT FILING AN EXTENSION WITH THE IRS(FORM 4868) AND MINNESOTA(FORM M13) DOES NOT GRANT YOU AN EXTENSION TO PAY YOUR TAXES FOR 2007. IT ONLY GRANTS YOU AN EXTENSION TO FILE THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK. IF YOU THINK YOU OWE TAXES, THOSE PAYMENTS MUST BE MAILED WITH YOUR EXTNESION FORMS BY APRIL 15TH, 2008.

THE IRS AND MN EXTENSION MAILING ADDRESSES ARE HIGHLIGHTED ON THE DOWNLOADABLE PDF’S(THE IRS ADDRESS IS ON PAGE 4). PLEASE NOTE THAT THE IRS HAS TWO DIFFERENT MAILING ADDRESS FOR EXTENSIONS – ONE FOR THOSE PAYING IN WITH THE 4868, AND A DIFFERENT ADDRESS FOR THOSE EXTENSIONS WITHOUT PAYMENTS.

APPLE TAX WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST WITH THOSE CALCULATIONS FOR ANY CLIENTS THAT HAVE NOT HAD THEIR TAX APPT OR DROPPED OFF THE MAJORITY OF THEIR TAX DOCUMENTS BY MARCH 31, 2008. SHOULD YOU URGENTLY NEED HELP, THERE WILL BE A $300 FEE IN ADDITION TO THE NORMAL TAX PREPARATION FEES THAT WILL STILL APPLY AS USUAL.
